Mainly the family history research of Rev. Robert Conway Hurly (died 1849).
There is a small amount of later material.

Rev. Robert Conway Hurly papers

• Mss 8277-8288 are large books and smaller copybooks.
  • These contain lengthy copies of Rev. Robert Conway Hurly's family history. Pedigrees, plus large number of disconnected notes.
  • Ancestry of Hurly, and also his female lines such as Conway of Cloghane and other Conway and Shiercliffe and Rice and Fitzgerald and Blennerhassett.
  • Focused on earlier ancestry, not living generations. Living people are mentioned but with little detail.
  • We are most interested in Rev. Robert Conway Hurly's sister, Letitia Hurly, who married Rowland Blennerhassett. What I want to know is did she have any link to George Cashel?

  • 8277 - She is on p.27.
  • 8278 - She is on p.30.
  • 8279 - She appears early on, but no page numbers.
  • 8280 - She is on p.15.
  • 8281 - She is on p.25.
  • Unfortunately there is very little detail. Not even her date of birth.

• Ms 8288 has two descents from Blennerhassett.
• It also has Conway descent (using the disproved Fulke Conway theory).

• Ms 8289 is not relevant.
• Mss 8291-92 is not relevant.

• Ms 8290 has later papers, involving later Hurly family members. Family history, notes, letters.
  • Rather messy draft tree showing descendants of John Hurly and Mary Conway.
    • Hurly tree dated 1897. Apparently by Anne Margaret Rowan.
  • Lots on Conway.
    • Conway tree dated 1872-1873.
    • Conway tree on back of same.
  • Letters of 1897 from Mary Agnes Hickson to John Hurly of Fenit.
