Listed as "Mariner in Aberdeen" at mar 1737.
He mar 16 May 1737 [Nigg] to Ann Gibbon [or Anna].
George Duncan, "Mariner in Aberdeen", sponsored the baptism of Ann's niece Martha Gibbon, Nigg, 10 Sept 1737.
She is "Anna" at children's baptisms.
[Wyllie, 2020, p.314] says George was a ship's captain and is recorded making voyages to London and Veere, Holland.
George and Ann (or Anna) had issue:

1. Elizabeth Duncan,
   bapt Elisabeth, 1 July 1738 [Aberdeen].
   She mar James Grant.

   
   

2. Ann Duncan,
   bapt 12 Apr 1740 [Aberdeen].
   She mar John Coutts.
   [Wyllie, 2020] says he was a ship's captain.
   They had issue:
   1. John Coutts.
   2. George Coutts.

   3. Ann Coutts [or Anne],
      born 1782 or 1783.
      She mar her 1st cousin (and 2nd cousin) Alexander Gibbon [bapt 10 Aug 1779] and had issue.

   
   

3. Margaret Duncan,
   bapt 12 Nov 1742 [Aberdeen].
   She mar Dr. Grant.

   
   

4. Rebecca Duncan.
   [Wyllie, 2020, p.313] says she died 1826.

   
   

5. Christian Duncan [dau].
   She mar 18 Sept 1769 [Aberdeen] to James Miller [or Millar].
   They had issue:
   1. Christian Miller [must be dau].
   2. Ann Miller, mar George Grant.

   
   

6. Isobel Duncan [or Isabel],
   born 1752.
   She mar 23 June 1776 [Aberdeen] to her 1st cousin Alexander Gibbon [bapt 4 July 1752] and had issue.

   
   

7. George Duncan.
   He was a ship's captain.
