William George Maltass, born 10 or 11 July 1809.
Listed as of Smyrna at mar.
He mar 2 June 1836 in Smyrna to Eliza Jackson [born 20 June 1815, dau of Thomas and Anna Jackson, of Smyrna].
He wit his sister Lydia's mar 1839.
He died 9 Feb 1862, age 52 yrs.
She died 13 Jan 1895, age 79 yrs.
They are both bur Anglican cemetery, Buca. Beautiful gravestone. Grave no.155.
They had issue:


  1. William Augustus Maltass, born 1838.
    He died 1913, age 75 yrs.
    He was bur in Anglican Cemetery in Bornova. Grave 88.


  2. Edith Victoria Maltass,
    born 27 Mar 1843.
    She died 21 June 1844, age 1 yr.
    She was bur Anglican cemetery, Buca. Grave no.110. Moved to 18w.


  3. Thomas Jackson Maltass,
    born 1848.
    He mar his 1st cousin Mary Louisa Maltass.
    He would be Thomas J. Maltass, who wrote family history letter dated from Constantinople, 11 Mar 1892.


  4. Edith Mary Maltass,
    born 16 Apr 1850. Apparently NOT Feb.
    She died 18 July 1850, age 3 months 2 days.
    She was bur Anglican cemetery, Buca. Grave no.111.


  5. Mary Eliza Maltass,
    Mary Maltass, born 18 Nov 1851, Smyrna [LDS IGI].
    She mar 1875, Smyrna, to Edward Whittall and had issue.
