No Broder or Broderick is
listed
at Coolbeha or Coolkeragh
in
[Griffiths Valuation, 1851].
See
p.40 and
p.41.
He mar pre-1857 to Mary Ann Hickie
[think born 1837].
They lived Coolbeha, Galey par,
E of
Ballybunion,
NC Co.Kerry.
Think all records from 1857 on refer to Coolbeha.
Michael died at Coolbeha in 1884.
Joseph Broderick still in Coolbeha in 1911.
At son's bapt 1857 they are listed at Coolbeha.
At son's bapt 1860 they are listed at Galey parish (would be Coolbeha).
At dau's bapt 1861 they are listed at Lisselton parish, NC Co.Kerry.
(Coolbeha is in Galey par, right on border of Lisselton par. So this might be same place.)
At dau's bapt 1862 they are listed at Kilgarvan, Lisselton par.
(Kilgarvan is the townland bordering Coolbeha,
just across the parish border in Lisselton par. So this might be same place.)
At children's bapts 1864 to 1876 they are listed at Coolbeha.
"Michael Broder" sp bapt of Teresa O'Connor 1877.

Michael dies, 1884:

He is "Broderick" at death.
He died 31 May 1884, Coolbeha, age 52 yrs.
See death cert

Death registered by his brother-in-law
Michael Hickie.
Mary Ann fl 1884.
She must be
Maryanne Broderick, age 64, widow, farmer,
listed
in 1901 census in
Coolkeragh, Galey par
(bordering Coolbeha to the E).
Living with her is unmarried son Joseph Broderick, age 32.
There is a very thin entry for
Coolbeha
in 1901 census,
and Coolkeragh is right next to it,
and the census sometimes does some strange divisions.
So probably this Broderick entry is just the same family farm at Coolbeha as before.
Note that her son
Joseph Broderick is found in Coolbeha in 1911 census.
They probably never left.
"Mrs. Broder, Coolbeha"
is listed in the
Kerry Weekly Reporter, March 15, 1902,

It is possible he was baptised in neighbouring Ballylongford, where his mother was from and had family,
and for which parish records for this period are lost.
He is placed before David in Hannah's death notice,
so most likely he was born 1859.
Also it is the only gap.
