Controversy about the 1661 election
for MPs for
Co.Kerry.
John Blennerhassett (senior) was elected MP.
But the High Sheriff of Kerry
Thomas Crosbie
tried to insert his brother-in-law
Richard Chute instead.
Blennerhassett gets the House to hear his case.

Crosbie is censured by the House.
After a short excuse-making by Crosbie, the prosecution
lays out the corrupt nature of his management of the election.
They then basically let him off with his apology.
