    At mar 1876 he is farmer, of Templeogue, Co.Dublin.
    He mar 10 Jan 1876 [her age 38] to Mary Collins [bapt 9 Apr 1837].
    Mary registered her brother Thomas' death 1889. She is then living Crumlin.




Carthy of Charleville House, Templeogue

Liam Cosgrave said that "Mrs. McCarthy" of Charleville House, Templeogue, was meant to be a cousin of his mother Louisa Flanagan.
This must be the family above. Mary Collins is aunt of Louisa Flanagan.

"John Carty" is listed at Charleville in [Thom's] 1859 to 1882. The later entries must be his widow.
He died 28 Feb 1868 at Charleville.

Admin granted 26 July 1869 to Margaret. See admin from here.
"Mrs. Carthy" of Charleville is listed in Irish Times, July 9, 1873, as a subscriber for the new church at Rathfarnham (as is William Flanagan junior).
She would be Margaret Carthy, widow, farmer, who died at Firhouse (would be Charleville), 13 Apr 1885, age 87 yrs (born 1798).

    He registered mother's death 1885. Living Firhouse (would be Charleville).
    He is gone from Charleville in [Thom's, 1889].

Charleville House is found in [Thom's] under different locations depending on the year.
It is found under Rathfarnham, Roundtown, Terenure and under Templeogue.

"James Reid" is listed at Charleville in [Thom's, 1850].
"John Kellett" is listed at Charleville in [Thom's, 1857].
Charleville House, with farm of 24 acres, is listed for sale in Freemans Journal, March 2, 1857 (see under "Auctions").
"James Reid" is listed at Charleville in [Thom's, 1858].

"Carty" are listed at Charleville in [Thom's] from 1859 to 1888.

"P.J. McCabe" is listed at Charleville in Freemans Journal, June 22, 1888 (see small ads under "Horses for sale").
"Mr. P.J. McCabe" is listed at Charleville in [Thom's, 1889].
"Mrs. B. Baldwin" and "Charles C. Baldwin" are listed at Charleville in [Thom's, 1894].
"Joseph G. Furlong" is listed at Charleville in [Thom's, 1901].
"Mrs. Gibson" is listed at Charleville in [Thom's, 1906].
"Doody, P. & O'Loughlin" are listed at Charleville in [Thom's, 1910].
"P.Doody" is listed at Charleville in [Thom's, 1919].
"Mrs. Doody" is listed at Charleville in [Thom's, 1945].

Charleville House survives today. It is now a school.
