He was Secretary of the Catholic Institute in 1892 to 1893.
He moved to Cork in 1893.

  Those elected include "James O'Mara", who would be old James O'Mara.

• Meeting on 7 Nov 1886. See p.1.
  Another election had just been held.
  Those elected include James O'Mara and Michael Cusack.

  William Humphreys, of Catherine St (unidentified) is admitted as a member.

1887

  Those elected include James O'Mara and Michael Cusack and "Stephen D. O'Mara".
  "Stephen D. O'Mara" may be our Stephen O'Mara. We are not aware of a middle initial "D." However we are also not aware of any other Stephen O'Mara in Limerick. Also confusing is that our Stephen is admitted as a member in 1892. Could he have left and re-joined?

  Those elected include Blennerhassett Cashel ("B.H. Cashel"). Election in May 1888. He would have been an ordinary member before election.

  Shows their premises is at Sarsfield St, Limerick.
