Blog - 1980s and 1990s

(1983 to 1999)

1995-1999

From 1995 on, all new material has gone straight online onto my website.

Parts of my website in Apr 1999. Putting my wife's tree straight online. And starting the long process of moving my own tree from my offline computer files to online web pages.

The site dates from 1995, but I have no copies of it before 1999.

Portrait of Augustus Reebkomp owned by my wife's family (his descendants). This is a copy of the original that hangs in Wilton House, seat of his father Henry Herbert, 10th Earl of Pembroke.

1990-1994

From 1990 to 1994, I made out family trees on computer offline.
I have nearly brought all of this work online.

1983-1989

From 1983 to 1989, I made out family trees on paper.
I have nearly brought all of this work online.

Part of the BLENNERHASSETT entry in [Burkes Irish, 1976].
It was this tantalising note ("8th in descent from King Edward III") that made me realise in 1985 that my Blennerhassett line might connect to the World family tree.

Researching this in 1983 is what got me started researching the family tree.
