Capt. Robert Gibbon grave, Nigg Bay

Grave (with gravestone) of Capt. Robert Gibbon (died 1821) and family.
In fact, grave location of his wider family. But the gravestones are for him and his sons. So we will call this the Capt. Robert Gibbon gravesite.

Other gravestones

There are also gravestones for Capt.Robert's sons:

• Grave of William Gibbon of Viewfield (died 1823) and his family.

• Grave of children of Arthur Gibbon (died 1861). He is remembered on the gravestone though he is buried in West Norwood, London.

There are no gravestones for the following, but family notes show they are buried at this same location in NE corner of churchyard:

• Capt.Robert's grandfather Arthur Gibbon. According to [Barbara Yates Gibbon family tree].
• Capt.Robert's father William Gibbon.
• Capt.Robert's brother Capt. Arthur Gibbon.
• Capt.Robert's brother Capt. William Gibbon.
• Capt.Robert's niece Barbara Somerville.

• Plot 1 is gravestone of Capt. Robert Gibbon.
• Plot 6 is gravestone of William Gibbon of Viewfield.
• Other locations have Gibbon burials but no gravestone.
• The Arthur Gibbon gravestone today is at the top here. These notes are dated 1849. Arthur Gibbon's children have been buried here. Georgina has not yet died. The Arthur Gibbon gravestone has not been erected yet. The notes seem to refer to a forthcoming "tablet for [illegible] children buried there".
