1854 to 1899

• Deed of 5 Sept 1854 (later copy). Rev. Richard Dickson to Thomas Kelly.
  • House and fields in Courtbrack. Lately held by Mr. Thom.
  • Deed of 1920 and Deed of 1959 say this deed is for Summerville Cottage (formerly Laurel Hill Cottage).
  • This deed is listed in Deed of 1905 for Ebrill property in Courtbrack.

• Deed, 1 Aug 1863, William Peacocke of Limerick, grocer, to William Ebrill of Mungret St, Limerick, wool merchant.
  • Memorial in [LR], registered 24 Sept 1863. Book 31 No. 163.
  • Copy of deed, typed in apparently 1953.
  • Property to E side of South Circular Road.
  • See p.1 and p.2 and p.3.

• Deed of 19 Nov 1878. Commissioners of Church Temporalities to John Coffey.
  • About these two properties:
    1. Property on Moloney's Lane.
    2. Property near St.John's Gate.

• Deed of 22 Aug 1879. John Coffey to William Ebrill.
  • Memorial in [LR], registered 26 Aug 1879. Book 40 No. 261.
  • There is also a "Declaration" of same date, same parties. See cover and declaration.
  • Ebrill acquires these two properties:
    1. Property on Moloney's Lane.
    2. Property near St.John's Gate.

• Will of Samuel Frederick Dickson, dated 26 Apr 1890. Codicil dated 16 Dec 1895.
  • See Dickson estate.

1900 to 1909

• Deed of family settlement. Mrs. Elizabeth Ebrill, widow, with others. 25 July 1905.
  • Typed copy.
  • Settling Ebrill family property. The day before the weddings of William and George.
  • It has a list of Ebrill family property. See p.1 and p.2 and p.3.
  • There is another typed copy of this with notes indicating which child inherited which property.
  • There is another handwritten copy with the original signatures.
  • See signatures part 1 and part 2 and part 3 and part 4.

• Will dated 26 July 1905 of George Ebrill.
  • Made on the day of his marriage. (He may have made a later will.)
  • The copy (not original) incorrectly writes "Stephen J. Ebrill" for his brother.

• Deed of 22 Nov 1905. Daniel Ebrill to John Hurley of Mungret St.
  • Ebrill (age 25) is looking for a loan from Hurley using his inheritance as collateral.

1910 to 1919

• Indenture dated 19 Mar 1912. Daniel Ebrill to Thomas Ebrill.

• Deed of 30 Sept 1912. Scanlan and Coyle to Elizabeth Ebrill, spinster (i.e. the daughter).

• Indenture dated 25 Feb 1913. Daniel Ebrill to Thomas Ebrill.
  • Original plus typed copy.

• Deed of 1 June 1919. William D. Dickson to Charles Ebrill.
  • Purchase of "Little Summerville".

1920 to 1929

• Deed dated 10 Feb 1920. William D. Dickson and others to Charles Ebrill.
  • Deals with "Little Summerville", and also the family home Summerville Cottage. Charles has not yet moved into "Little Summerville".
  • Registered 11 Mar 1920. [LR] Book 21 No 285.
  • Copy of this is also in Limerick City Library.

• Deed dated 22 Sept 1921. Eileen McKern to Charles Ebrill.
  • Charles is buying her property 3 and 4 Summerville Terrace off her.
  • And a second deed of same date between Charles, Eileen and Frank Ebrill.
  • Later a dispute arose between Eileen and Charles about this transaction. There was much correspondence with the McKerns in Argentina. Not resolved before Charles' death in 1954.

1930 to 1939

• Agreement of 25 June 1932. Mary Ebrill and Elizabeth Ebrill.
  • Note of 1944 attached.

• Deed of 19 Sept 1932. William Ebrill and Charles Ebrill to Thomas Ebrill.
  • Not registered in [LR].
  • Also deed of same day. William and Charles to Elizabeth.
  • Elizabeth is taking over no.1 Bellevue Terrace.
  • Thomas is taking over no.2 Bellevue Terrace.

• Deed of 21 Dec 1932.
  • Deed between all living Ebrill siblings except Daniel. (Deed makes clear Daniel is living.)
  • Has signatures of family members.
  • Has schedule of property. See p.1 and p.2 and p.3 and p.4.
  • The schedule of property is simply copied from Deed of 1905, even though some of the descriptions (like who lives in each property, and who the neighbours are) must surely be inaccurate now in 1932.
  • Also deed of the next day, 22 Dec 1932. William, Thomas and Charles.

• Deed of 21 Aug 1937. Charles Ebrill and The National Bank Ltd.
  • Registered 27 Aug 1937. [LR] Book 33 no.21.
  • Contains schedule of property apparently then held by Charles. See p.1 and p.2.
  • Includes a premises on Upper William St, Limerick. This premises also appears in Lot 186 in some unknown sale (orphaned page). This combined with 1897 map of Upper William St shows this is 35-36 Upper William St.

1940 to 1949

• Letter of 1 July 1943 from Charles to Frank.

• Letter of 16 Sept 1943 from Charles to Frank.

• Admin of estate of William, 25 Oct 1945.

• Draft agreement of Oct-Dec 1945. Frank and Liam Ebrill.

1950 to 1959

• Will of Charles, dated 8 Sept 1951.

• 1953 inventory of items in the Ebrill family home, Summerville Cottage.

• Letters of 1953-1954 between Frank and Hugh Mackern.
  • Letter of 30 Apr 1953 from Frank to Hugh.
  • Letter of 30 Jan 1954 from Hugh to Frank.
  • Letter of 7 Mar 1954 from Frank to Hugh. See p.1 and p.2 and p.3 and p.4.

• 1956 documents including sketch of family.

• Admin of estate of Elizabeth, granted 1 June 1956 to Frank.
  • Undated draft application for administration, prepared by Frank.
  • Also UK admin granted 28 Aug 1956 to Frank.

• "Requisition no.22". Document of probably 1958 (around time of sale of 1 Bellevue Terrace to Gould).

• Ebrill family agreement, 16 May 1959.
  • Multiple drafts and copies.
  • The final copy, with the signatures, has date 16 May 1959. But then it leaves a gap for date of probate of Frank's will, which is filled in as 3 July 1959.
  • Contains useful list of family deeds, and dates of family wills and administrations.
  • Memorial in [LR], registered 3 Aug 1961. B.46. No.165.

1960 on

• Two deeds of 29 Mar 1961.
  • Both are Hugh McKern to Denis Ebrill and others.
  • One registered in [LR], 28 June 1961 (think NOT 23 June). B.38. No.124.
